Los capazos, cestos y bolsos de paja siempre han sido una accesorio tradicional en España y otros países mediterráneos, donde los usábamos para ir a la playa y cargar toalla, protector solar, palas... pero hace unos años Loewe creó su bolso cesta y se convirtió en un éxito de muchas fashionistas, que en vez de utilizarlo en ambiente playero, comenzaron a combinarlo con diferentes looks para pasear por las calles de New York, Londres y otras ciudades. A partir de ahí se popularizaron los bolsos cesta, que han sido versionados por un sinfín de marcas y combinados de todas las formas posibles.

Straw basket bags have always been a traditional accessory in Spain and other Mediterranean countries, where we take them to the beach, carrying towel, sunscreen, water... but a few years ago Loewe created the basket bag, which became an it bag, and fashionistas started styling it in cool outfits to walk around New York, London and many other cities. Since then, basket bags became really popular and have been recreated in endless ways by many brands.

Así que, ahora que llega el buen tiempo, os traigo 10 looks con bolsos cesta que espero que os sirvan de inspiración.

So, now that warmer days are here, I'm sharing 10 basket bag outfits that I hope inspire you.

1. El maxi capazo / The maxi basket

Empezamos con el capazo original, ese cesto grande tradicional que sirve para ir a la compra o a la playa. Es un clásico del verano del que ya os hablé aquí, y me encanta utilizarlo para ir a la playa o de picnic. En esta ocasión lo combiné con un look sencillo en blanco y sombrero de paja.

Starting with the original, this big traditional basket perfect for grocery shopping and the beach. It's a Summer clasic I mentioned before and I love taking it to the beach or a picnic. Here I'm wearing it with a simple total white outfit and straw hat.

2. El bolsito cesta / The little basket bag

Los bolsos estructurados y con asa son una de mis debilidades, y esta versión combinada en piel y paja es uno de mis imprescindibles en mis vacaciones de verano. Esta vez lo combiné con un vestido de rayas azules, alpargatas y canotier veneciano.

I have a thing for top handle structured bags, and this leather and straw version is one of my Summer vacation essentials. I've paired it with a striped blue dress, espadrilles and venetian canotier.

3. El bolso cesta / The basket bag

El anterior lo utilizo mucho, pero a veces se queda un poco pequeño, así que no pude resistirme a esta versión cesta del clásico bolso Kelly. Me parece un cesto ideal para llevar por la ciudad. Aquí lo he combinado en un total look en crudo con gorra de efecto paja y cinturón y merceditas en el mismo color que la piel del bolso.

I wear the previous one lots, but sometimes it's too tiny, so I couldn't resist this basket version of the classic Kelly bag. I think it's the perfect basket for a city look. Here I'm wearing it with a total ecru outfit with straw-like cap, and belt and maryjanes matching the bag's leather.

4. El capazo personalizado / The customized basket

Con un aire que recuerda al capazo de Loewe que revolucionó el mundo, este capazo personalizado con mi inicial tiene el tamaño perfecto para utilizarlo en destinos de costa o de interior. En este caso lo puse con vestido de lino blanco, sandalias de gladiador, sombrero de paja y pañuelo atado a la cintura, que el verano pasado combiné de muchas formas, como podéis recordar AQUÍ!

You can see the Loewe inspiration on this basket, customized with an S. It has the perfect size to wear it at the coast or the mountail. I'm wearing it with a white linen dress, gladiator sandals, straw hat, and scarf around the waist, same scarf I styled in many different ways last Summer.

5. La cesta exótica / The exotic basket

Saliendo de la zona mediterránea también hay artesanos que hacen cestas tradicionales. Esta me la regaló una amiga de Filipinas, y me encanta que, además de ser muy estructurada, tiene tapa! La combiné para un paseo primaveral con vestido de algodón blanco, alpargatas a juego y sombrero de paja.

Outside the Mediterranean area, there are wonderful basket traditions. This one was a gift from a friend from the Philippines, and I love that, apart from being very structured, it has a lid! I wore it with a white cotton dress, matching espadrilles and straw hat for a Spring walk.

6. El cesto redondo / The round basket

Este cesto combina tradición con un diseño más moderno, tiene una capacidad enorme y además las cosas van más protegidas porque tiene menos abertura por arriba. Para un día en barco lo combiné con canotier de paja, bikini y falda de ganchillo.

This basket combines tradition with a modern design, it is really roomy and your belongings are safe since the opening is not as wide. For a sailing day I wore it with a boater hat, bikini and crochet skirt.

7. El capazo con hebilla / The buckled basket

Este es sin duda mi capazo más utilizado, por el tamaño mediano, las asas largas para llevarlo al hombro y la hebilla que lo cierra para guardad mejor su contenido. Ha pasado por playa y montaña, pero aquí lo combiné con vestido de lunares, cangrejeras de piel y canotier para una tarde de verano.

This is, without a doubt, my most worn basket. Thanks to the medium size, the long shoulder straps and the buckle that kind o closes it. It's been to the beach and the mountain, but here I wore it with a polka dots dress, leather flat sandals and canotier for a Summer afternoon.

8. El mini capazo / The mini basket

Este mini cesto fue un flechazo que compré una mañana en Zahara de los Atunes, y cada vez que lo uso me alegro de habérmelo llevado y me trae recuerdos de aquel día mágico. Aquí lo puse con mini vestido turquesa, cangrejeras de piel y, otra vez, sombrero de paja!

This mini basket was love at first sight a morning walking in Zahara de los Atunes, and everytime I wear it I'm glad I purchased it and it brings lovely memories from that wonderful day. Here I wore it with a tuquoise mini dress, leather flats and, once again, straw hat!

9. Micro cesta / Micro basket

Una pequeña cesta con correa larga, que la hace ideal para colgarla y salir a pasear con las llaves de casa y poco más. Parece que siempre combino mis bolsos cesta con sombreros de paja... esta vez con shorts vaqueros, blusa de algodón y sandalias planas.

A tiny basket with a long shoulder strap that you can wear crossbody and go for a walk with you keys and not much else. It looks like I always pair my baskets with straw hats... this time with denim shortsm cotton blouse and flat sandals.

10. El capazo de Ikea / The basket from Ikea

Este último es el capazo más versátil. Lo puedes usar en casa como revistero, cesto de peluches, cubre macetas... y cuando te vas de vacaciones lo doblas a la mitad y lo metes en la maleta. En esta ocasión lo llevo con top y pantalón de seda y sandalias joya planas.

This one is the most versattile. You can use it at home as a magazine basket, toys basket, planter cover... and fold itt and putt it in your suitcase whenever you go on a vacation. This time I'm wearing it with silk top and shorts, and flat jewel sanadals.
