Buenos días! Hoy os traigo una nueva dosis de inspiración para vuestros looks veraniegos, esta vez protagonizados por las rayas marineras. Si el estampado de flores es el rey de la primavera, las rayas son sin duda mi estampado favorito en verano, así que hoy os enseño 10 looks con diferentes versiones de este clásico para que disfrutéis de las vacaciones con estilo!

Good morning! Today I am sharing a new inspiration dose for your Summer outfits, and this time I am focusing on navy stripes. If florals are Springtime favorite, stripes are my print of choice in the Summer, so today I am showing you 10 looks with different versions of this classic print, so that you enjoy your Summer vacation in style!

1. El look naútico perfecto / The perfect nautical outfit

El verano se vive mejor junto al mar, y una camiseta de rayas marineras es un clásico que no puede faltar en tu armario. Combínala con unos shorts blancos, unas sandalias sencillas, un bolso saco o un capazo, sombrero de paja y gafas de sol, y ya estás lista para embarcar! Mantén los accesorios sencillos, pero da un toque de glamour con unas gafas vistosas y un toque rojo en los labios. Summer is best enjoyed by the sea, and a navy stripes t-shirt is an essential in your wardrobe. Pair it with white shorts, simple flat sandals, a hobo bag or basket, stray hat and sunglasses, and welcome aboard! 2. Rayas en la arena / Stripes on the sand

Si en lugar de adentrarte en el mar, tienes pensado quedarte en la arena, un vestido playero de rayas es una opción estupenda. Elige uno de algodón que sea fresco pero que te proteja la piel al ir y volver de la playa o mientras comes en el chiringuito. No te olvides de una bonita pamela, gafas de sol y un amplio bolso con todo lo que necesitas para un día de verano.

If, instead of the sea, you choose to stay on the sand, a striped beach dress is a wonderful option. Choose one in cotton that keeps you cool but also protects your skin from the sun on the way to and from the beach, as well as while you have lunch at the seafront. Don't forget a nice pamela, sunglasses and a big basket where you can carry all your Summer essentials.

3. Vestidito camisero / Shirt dress

Pasamos a otro estilo de vestido de rayas, ese hecho en la clásica tela de camisa. Puedes elegir el típico vestido camisero con botones y cuello, o una versión algo diferente como esta. Combinalo con un bolso de piel y unos tacones para una ocasión algo más arreglada.

Next is another stiped dress, in the classic shirt fabric. You can go for a classic shirt dress with buttons and collar, or a different twist like mine. Pair it with a leather bag and heels for a more put together ocassion.

4. Vestidito de verano / Summer dress

Y para finalizar con los vestidos, el típico vestido veraniego de tirantes, con falda suelta para ir cómoda y fresquita. Llévalo con alpargatas, un bolsito cesta y un sombrero de paja, el look ideal para ir cómoda y bien vestida mientras recorres cualquier ciudad estas vacaciones.

And our last dress is the classic strappy Summer dress with a flowy skit to make you feel comfy and cool. Wear it with espadrilles, a mini basket bag and a straw hat, the perfect outfit to be comfy and well dressed while you wander the streets of any city this Summer.

5. Rayas rojas / Red stripes

Las rayas azules me encantan, pero ya sabéis que el rojo me apasiona, y una camiseta de rayas con manga francesa es algo que nunca falta en mi armario. Me encanta combinarla con vaqueros y zapatillas para jornadas de viaje, pero también la suelo llevar con falda blanca y alpargatas de cuña para un look más femenino. Os acordáis de cuando recreé este look?

I love blue stripes, but you know I'm all about red, and a red striped t-shirt with 3/4 sleeve is such an amazing staple. I love wearing it with jeans and sneakers for travelling days, but I also pair it with a white skirt and wedge espadrilles for a more feminine style. Do you remember when I recreated this outfit?

6. El top corto / The crop top

Pasamos ahora a un look con pantalones. Estos vaqueros blancos son de mis favoritos, y quedan genial con un top corto de rayas como este, para esos días de verano un poco más frescos. Combínalo con bolso de piel y tacones en azul marino, y completa el look con unos pendientes de aro y una cadena de eslabones dorados.

Now let's go for something with pants. These white jeans are some of my favorites, and they look great with a striped crop top like this one, for those cooler Summer days. Pair it with a leather bag and pumps in navy blue, and top it with hoop earrings and a golden chain.

7. Rayas azul pastel / Baby blue stripes

Aunque las camisetas de rayas marineras suelen ser azul oscuro, también hay algunas azul claro como esta que ya os enseñé combinada de 5 formas AQUÍ. Vístela con vaqueros y sandalias azules, y añade una blazer si la brisa marina sopla con fuerza.

Striped t-shirts are usually navy blue, but you can also find them in baby blue, like this one, which I already showed you how to style in 5 different ways HERE. Wear it with jeans and blue sandals, and add a blazer if sea breeze is too chilly.

8. Camisa de lino / Linen shirt

Las camisas de lino también son una prenda que me encanta, y las de rayas las suelo usar anudadas a la cintura o abiertas encima de camisetas. Podéis recordar una camisa de lino similar AQUÍ. En este caso la llevo con vaqueros y accersorios rústicos, como el capazo de paja y estos zapatos de cordones hechos de rafia.

Linen shirts are something I really like, and striped ones are great to wear knotted or open over t-shirts. You can check a similar linen dress HERE. This time I am wearing it with jeans, rustic accessories like the straw basket and raffia oxford shoes.

9. Camisa de rayas / Striped shirt

Una camisa o blusa de rayas también es una gran idea para incorporar este estampado a vuestro look. Esta tiene las rayas distribuidas en franjas y se anuda a la cintura. Para pasear por Roma la llevé con la falda de crochet que tanto os gustó en este post. Los accesorios elegidos fueron unas sandalias con cuña de espato, gafas azules, sombrero de paja y bolso Longchamp, que también es un imprescindible en mis viajes.

A striped shirrt or blouse is a great way to add this print to yourr outfit. This one has strripes arranged in segments and ties. to the waist. I wore it in Rome with the crochet skirt you all loved so much on this post. I accessorized it with wedge sandals, blue sunglasses, straw hay and a Longchamp bag, which is one of my travel essentials.

10. Conjunto de rayas / Striped set

Y por último os traigo un conjunto de lino blanco con rayas azules combinadas en diferentes direcciones. Lo bueno de los conjuntos es que no hay que pensar mucho cómo combinar nada. Este es de lo más cómodo y lo suelo llevar con alpargatas de cuña y un bolsito pequeño.

And last, but not least, a white linen set with blue stripes arranged in different directions. The best thing about sets is that they are super easy to match, no need to think. This one is super comfy and I wore it with wedge espadrilles and a small bag.

Postcards from Santa Monica and Venice

Buenos días! Hoy os traigo algunas imágenes de mi visita a Santa Mónica y Venice, dos zonas en la costa de Los Ángeles de lo más agradables para pasar el día y disfrutar del sol.

Good morning! Today I am sharing some pictures from my visit to Santa Monica and Venice, two areas in Los Angeles coast that are really nice to spend the day and enjoy the sun.

Santa Mónica tiene el icónico muelle sobre el que hay una noria y otras actividades de ocio, me recuerda bastante a otros similares como el de Ocean City, Conney Island o San Francisco. Tiene la noria, un carrusel, camas elásticas, restaurantes y puestos con souvenirs para turistas. Es un sitio super animado.

Santa Monica has the iconic wheel on the pier and other leissure activities, it reminds me of similar ones like Ocean City, Conney Island or San Francisco. It has a wheel, a merry go round, trampolines, restaurants and souvenir stalls for tourists. The place has a great ambiance.

La playa es amplia, hay un montón de bicis y patinadores, y la puedes recorrer hasta llegar a la zona de Venice.

The beach is large, there are plenty of bikers and skaters, and you can walk all the way to Venice.

El paseo marítimo de Venice está lleno de restaurantes y tiendas de ropa playera, estudios de tatuajes y piercings, patinadores... Me lo esperaba bohemio con encanto pero, salvo algún restaurante, es un poco cutre y el ambiente un poco agobiante.

Venice boardwalk is full of restaurants and beach wear shops, tatoo and piercing studios, skaters... I expected it to be bohemian in a charming way but, aside from a few restaurants, it is kind of seedy and overcrowded.

Sin embargo, la zona de los canales tiene mucho encanto y es bastante tranquila, ideal para pasear e ir viendo las diferentes casitas de distintos estilos, cada una con su barca y su patio como sacado de Pinterest!

On the other hand, the channel area is really charming and quiet, perfect for a stroll, enjoying the view of different style houses, with their boats outside, and their patios that look taken out of a Pinterest board!
