Buenos días! Hemos comenzado el año bien instalados en Washington DC, pero el año pasado fue un festival de mudanzas de las que algo he aprendido. Bastante logística y, sobre todo, a pensar mejor lo que necesito y lo que no, me he vuelto mucho más selectiva y ordenada. Comenzamos 2017 en Madrid en nuestro pisito del centro, y después esparcimos nuestras pertenencias en una triple mudanza Aranjuez-Torrelodones-Casares, a final de verano dejamos Casares y estuvimos unas semanas de nómadas entre Torrelodones y Aranjuez hasta que finalmente cruzamos el charco a Estados Unidos. Un par de semanas en una casa provisional en Arlington y por fin encontramos nuestro nuevo hogar en DC.

Good morning! We have started the year well settled in Washington DC, but last year was a collection of moves and I learnt a lot from them. A lot of logistics and, specially, to think about what I really need and what I don't, so now I'm more selective and organised. We started 2017 in our flat I Madrid, then split our belongings in a triple move to Aranjuez-Torrelodones-Casares, and by the end of Summer we left Casares, spent some nomadic weeks in Torrelodones and Aranjuez and finally we came to United States. We stayed in Arlington for a couple of weeks until we found our new home in DC. 

Buenos días! Empiezo el año con un menú muy especial que tenía pendiente compartir con vosotros. Nos hemos mudado a Estados Unidos, pero cuando todavía estábamos en España, Carlos preparó esta fantástica degustación de atún rojo maridado con champagne. Fue toda una experiencia que tuvo tres etapas en un recorrido por tres restaurantes, comenzando con el ronqueo de un atún de 300 kilos. Ya sabéis que adoramos el atún y nos pasamos el verano en la costa gaditana disfrutando de este manjar, tenéis hambre???

Good morning! I want to start the year with a very special menu that I had wanted to share for  a long time. We have moved to the US, but when we were in Spain Carlos created this amazing red tuna tasting, paired with champagne. It was an amazing experience divided in 3 stages at three different restaurants, starting with the "ronqueo" (cutting up) of a 300kgs tuna. You know how much we love this fish as we spent last Summer enjoying it around Cadiz, are you hungry???

He puesto muchos árboles de Navidad a lo largo de los años, me encanta decorar en estas fechas y siempre me organizo bien, pero últimamente me he dado cuenta que no todo el mundo sigue los pasos correctos para poner su árbol de Navidad. Este año lo he puesto un poco tarde porque me ha pillado en plena mudanza y la prioridad era amueblar la casa, pero Carlos se aseguró de pedir todo por Amazon y al final tenemos un super árbol! Así que como este año es todo comprado lo que voy a compartir son los pasos para montarlo bien! Felices fiestas!

Good morning! I've decorated many Christmas trees in my life, I love decorating in this time of the year and I usually do pretty well, but lately I have notice that not everybody follows the right steps when they decorate their Christmas tree. This year I've done it really late because we've just moved in  and the house and furniture have been our priority, but Carlos made sure I got a super tree and ordered everything on Amazon! So, as this year I don't have a DIY tree, I'm sharing the steps to decorate it the right way! Have a happy holiday!

Ya os hablé de este bolso en mi guía para hacer bien el equipaje, y es que es un todoterreno muy práctico, resistente, ligero y cómodo. Pero tanto uso lleva a un ligero deterioro, y en mi caso las esquinas se han ido gastando hasta convertirse en agujeros... Empezamos con el lavado de cara!

Good morning! Today we are repairing the classic Longchamp Le Pliage. I already told you about this bag on my guide to pack, it really is a useful item, light, resistant and comfy. But wearing it soooo much leads to some damage, in my case the corners were spoilt and turned into holes... Let's start!

Este año la Navidad nos pilla lejos de la familia y de la vajilla de la abuela y la mantelería bordada, así que he optado por una mesa de estilo rústico decorada con unos sencillos servilleteros hechos con eucalipto, que además dan un aroma a bosque. Good morning! This year we are spending Christmas away from the family, the grandmother porcelain and the embroidery tablecloth, so I have chosen a rustic style for the table with simple napkin rings made of eucalyptus, that give a forest perfume. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
