The retrospective "La Moda es sueƱo" (Fashion is a dream) at the Cerralbo Museum, was a walk down Spanish fashion memory lane, with pieces from the last 25 years by our most important designers. The mannequins looked like guests to a ball in this palace of Madrid, as if they had been frozen by some spell. Wonderful dresses in a wonderful place.

LO MEJOR/THE BEST: poder ver los diseƱos expuestos en un lugar tan encantador / seing the designs in such a charming place
LO PEOR/THE WORST: Que no fue una exposiciĆ³n permanente / Unfortunately it was a temporary exhibition
FuistĆ©is a la exposiciĆ³n? Os gustarĆa haber ido? Comentad abajo!
Did you see it? Would you have liked to? Comments below!
Plans for the weekend? If you happen to be in Madrid I recommend Gauguin and Cartier exhibitions at the Thyssen Museum, both wonderful! But photography is not allowed, so you must visit to know what I'm talking about.
This is what I wore to walk all over the museum. Have a happy weekend!
Buenos dĆas! CĆ³mo va la semana? Gris, verdad?
Good morning! How's your week going? It's pretty gray and cloudy in here, so I'm trying my best to make my days brighter with colorful clothes. This coat was one of my first designs, and it's made out of a silk sari which belonged to an Indian bride long time ago. Apart from the golden embroidery it has some details in green, contrasting the fuchsia shade. This time I've match it with golden and black for an evening out. Do you like it?
After showing you Jean Paul Gaultier exhibition, I've made a selection of my favorite detail, mixing different textures and fabrics: silk-leather, denim-feathers, suede-carey, fur-paillettes... everything is possible!
Today I want to introduce you a solidarity initiative you can support as bloggers. Balwadis are pre-school centers, in lower income areas of India, taking care of children basic education from 0 to 6 years, this way they keep them from working so early and give them the chance to continue their education at a school.
Venta de Pisos has started this campaign to finance Balwadi Tiger, managed by Sonrisas de Bombay, during one year. For that they need the support 0f 200 bloggers who join the "I love Balwadis" stamp (click HERE to participate) I think there's not much more I can say about my reasons to support the project, as education is a basic right and child labour is an atrocity, I hope you can join us!
I told you about the brunch I attended on the previous post, and as some of you notice, most of us chose the same color for our looks; burgundy/dark red/maroon... you all know what I'm talking about. I've always liked this color, and love to wear my rubies necklace with it! That day I combined it with black, but I'll show you soon more options with camel, khaki, mustard or camo print!
Last Sunday I attended a brunch at BAT art gallery with several Spanish bloggers. They introduced us Trending Madrid, a fashion event which is taking place from November 15th to 18th and will gather designers and brands of fashion accessories.
All of them have a common point, which is unique or limited edition items where craftwork and dedication play an important role, getting back old and traditional ways and making women feel the value of unique pieces.
With bloggers from: AnnChic, Miss Peacock, Mi vida en rojo, Miss Ocho, Sobreviviendo a la moda, Ruthy Ruth Land, Tinkerbell's Journal, Moda para todas ... |
You should visit Trending Madrid and get to know the participating brands, and I also recommend Pepe YagĆ¼es exhibition at BAT gallery, with interactive and smart works of art.
