Good morning! Winter is here and today I'm bringing a wild nature destination that under Winter's snow turns into a fairytale landscape: Yellowsttone Nattional Park, which was the first declared National Park in the United Stated and also in the World. The giant park is placed over the biggest supervolcano on the continent, and that's why you can find so many geisers and hydrothermal hot springs.
Most roads in the park are closed in Winter due to snow and several dangers, but the North road that goes from Gardiner to Silver Lake stays open when the conditions are good enough, and that's the road we got to travel enjoying the amazing landscape, which got covered in snow in a few hours, the sporadic wildlife appearances, the peaceful feeling of being alone in the park and the amazing experience of getting into a hot spring in the middle of nature.
We flew to Bozeman airport and from there drove to Gardiner entrance. The road from Gardiner to Cooke City is around 60 miles, and we travelled it both ways, stopping at any spot we liked and some key places like Calcite Springs overlook or the Lamar Valley.
