Ponte calzado cómodo y a explorar!
Good morning! Today's destination is special as Casares has been our home for the past months. You need to drive on curvy roads to reach this beautiful whitewashed place. I'm taking you around this small hanging white Andalusian town in the mountains of Malaga. The narrow uphill streets will make you sweat, but there's always fresh air and the views are pretty awesome. Wear some comfy shoes and get ready to explore!
Casares is on a hill, from the highest point you can see windmills, the sea and Gibraltar.
Most neighbours decorate the streets with plants and flowers.
This small square has a well, looks like a fairy tale!
There are a couple of arches from the moorish times, when the town was surrounded by a wall.
I love this teapots recycled as planters!
Casares is known in the area for its bread, the large loaf of "pan moreno" is perfect for breakfast toasts!
The church and ruins of the old castle top the hill.
The white and neat cementery, with plenty of flowers, receives many visitors.
After so many stairs you can take a break and rest, there's lovely corners to take a few minutes...
At night the town looks beautiful, just like a postcard.
LO MEJOR/THE BEST: El pan y el airecillo / The bread and the fresh air
LO PEOR/THE WORST: Lo empinado que está, toca subir cuestas y escaleras / It's uphill, so you'll have to go upstairs and uphill all the time
