Good morning! Today we're visiting the Alhambra of Granada, the palace complex of the Nasrid dynasty, located on the highest hill of Granada. Get ready to melt under the sun and walk for hours, but open you eyes cause it's totally worth it! ( And don't forget booking in advance )
Start the visit at Charles V Palace, the newest building with a unique round courtyard full of columns.
Next visit the Alcazaba, the oldest building, used for defensive purposes.
Enter the Royal Complex (be there at the time written in your ticket!) It'll take you at least an hour to visit; look at the floors, the ceillings, the Wall decorations, the view from the balconies and each fountain!
Check out the spectacular dome built as a honeycomb...
las paredes de azulejos y detallados relieves...
the walls with all the details and beautiful tiles...
y los techos artesonados de madera!
and the wood ceilings!
The unique Court of the Lions, something not really usual as muslims are not supposed to represent alive beings acording to the Quran.
Las vistas al Albaicín son una maravilla.
Take a look at the Albaycin from this wonderful windows.
Relax a Little around the Partal Palace and its charming gardens.
End the visit at the Generalife, the summer palace of the Narsid rulers of Granada. Walk by the fresh gardens full of plants and climb the water staircase.
If you are in for more go to discover the city of Granada, with its authentic streets at the Albaycin and Sacromonte. But I'll leave this for my next visit.
LO MEJOR/THE BEST: Disfrutar del Generalife tranquilamente al atardecer / Enjoy the calmed Generalife before the sunset
The heat, and they make you leave the baby stroller at the entrance of the palaces and the Generalife, so you need to go all the way back to the entrance once you exit.
