Good morning! Visiting Sevilla in a (summer) day is just for the braves, and you need to plan it properly so you won't miss anything, so after a lot of research on hotels to stay, restaurants to eat and places to visit, today I'm sharing my guide to make the most of Seville in 24 hours!
Start on the Cathedral and its famous bell tower; La Giralda, which is a nice mix of Almohad and Renaissance architecture.
Walk around the Cathedral, on the Plaza del Triunfo, always busy with horse carts.
Cross the river and visit the colorful Triana, full of local places to try tapas.
Come back from Triana and pass by Torre del Oro, the tower by the Guadalquivir river.
Have a cup of tea at the magnificent courtyard inside Alfonso XII hotel.
Take a classic horse cart to visit María Luisa park, it might seem too touristy, but it's a wonderful way of seeing the park while the driver explains everything.
Lope de Vega Theatre with its wonderful dome.
The old Tobacco Factory, workplace of the leading role at the opera Carmen.
El colorido Palacio de San Telmo.
The colorful San Telmo palace.
Finish the walk at the magnificent Plaza de España, finished in 1929 for the Ibero-American exhibition. Each bench has painted ceramics with a Spanish province, and the 4 bridges represent the 4 old kingdoms that formed the country. Everything is decorated with local tiles and ceramics.
LO MEJOR/THE BEST: El paseo en coche de caballo / The ride on a horse cart
LO PEOR/THE WORST: Hace muchísimo calor en verano / It's super hot in summertime
